VOODOO SIX Putting Finishing Touches On New Album
September 6, 2009VOODOO SIX, the British band formed by ex-DIRTY DEEDS bassist Tony Newton, is hard at work on its sophomore full-length CD for a tentative early 2010 release. According to the group, Mike Fraser (AC/DC, AEROSMITH, GUNS N' ROSES, METALLICA) "has started mixing the second half of the album; only four more songs and the album is finished!! It is sounding amazing, we can't wait to get out and start playing the new songs live. We are looking into booking some shows now, so all very exciting."
VOODOO SIX recently parted ways with singer Henry Rundell and replaced him with Luke Purdie (RECULVER).
The band's critically acclaimed debut album, "First Hit for Free", was released in continental Europe in October 2008 via Locomotive Records. The CD, which was issued in the U.K. in March 2008, was mixed by Fraser.
